ATI MS 380 Problem

Complaint aside, legitimate or not, why are you upset you had to buy a magazine yourself? I own hundreds of magazines and not a single one was a gift.

Glock did replace one a couple of years ago on their dime, but it took a little USPS time for the swap.

I'd suggest you invest in several magazines. I mean, why have just one or two? Magazines are cheap compared to the gun and having half dozen ready when you go to the range not only enhances shooting pleasure but it allows you more shooting time before you have to start reloading magazines. And you get to practice reloading. Not to mention identifying defective magazines.

Let's face it, the gun you bought isn't exactly a high end piece and neither are its magazines. If the Beretta magazines will fit your gun, either buy OEM Beretta or Mec Gar.

Ati 380

Keller...I do not know, ok, but is the ATI .380 that you purchased manufactured by the same Turkish company that produces their ATI AT92?

The company is MKEK Girsan, a state owned firearms manufactering company in Turkey. I own the MKEK Girsan Yavuz 16 (the 92f Beretta clone) It is the finest shooting pistol I own. I hate to keep saying how good it is, because I begin to sound like an advert for them.

If your .380 is made by them, they will (according to what I have read) make it right. Somewhere on this forum (can not remember where) there is a direct link from a Girsan rep. with his email address. You will have to search.

I am unsure about shipping firearms overseas, as I have never done so. Also, I don't know if MKEK made your .380 or if ATI imported this one from someplace else.

I will tell you this...For the price I paid for the ATI AT92...I would not sell it. I probably would not take $50 more. $100, well...ok, I'm not stupid. What I am saying is that it is a really nice pistol, made by a state arms maker on CNC machinary, carried by the Turkish military, Syrian army, Malaysian special forces and national police, and the security services of the Colombian Air Force.

If your MS380 is made by the same people, with enough digging, someone will make it correct. Its a pain in the ass, I realize. Sorry that you have had problems. Hope this helps a little, and good luck!

ATI 380 ... It’s time for my follow-up - well over 500 rounds, closer to 1,000 actually, and all is well. No problems what-so-ever with Winchester 95gr FMJ, Remington 88gr. JHP, and this thing loves the Remington UMC 95gr. MC-FMJ. Bought 2 Berretta Cheetah magazines and they work fine. Just field stripped and cleaned it and no signs of wear on those machine markings.
Bottom line: accurate, this thing feels right, I wound trust it for concealed carry. I remain impressed!

Bought an ATI MS380 from CDNN in December, 2011. Also bought two spare mags at the same time. Total cost, with shipping, of the gun, and three additional mags, was $324.00.

Cleaned the gun well, and lubed it according to the Beretta Model 84 specs. I have had zero failures to chamber, no FTE or FTF, and the mags feed, and lock back the slide, without issue.

The gun has also been used by a female that I was teaching, and who has very poor upper body strength. The gun was flawless in her hands, as well.

Essentially, you're shooting a Beretta Model 84B clone. :)

M2 Carbine,

You and I are in total agreement about these "Turk" Beretta clones. There is simply not a better value buy on the market.
