This makes me want to pick up a Taurus 4410 as an always-in-car "NO!" if this is how would-be carjackers want to play, now...
And hey, governor Lynch, here's your freaking "duty to retreat", after vetoing the "stand your ground" bill! They got shot at!

An armed man who tried robbing a couple outside an Elm Street pharmacy fired several shots at their vehicle as they fled the scene, Manchester police said yesterday.
The incident, which took place in the parking lot of the Rite Aid pharmacy at 1631 Elm St., was reported at 2:40 a.m. No one was hurt.
According to police, the robber approached a man and woman sitting in a vehicle, and producing a gun, demanded their money and the keys. The couple drove away instead. When the couple came around the block, the robber reportedly fired three or four shots at them.
Police recovered several shell casings from the scene. The robber was described as a black man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and of slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and ski mask, blue jeans and gloves.
