New member here. Trying to look for sources to value an old Remington Model 10. Remington website indicates it might be pre-1933 manufacture date, but also looks like Remington's historical recoards may be incomplete. Serial #s on barrel and stock match. Looking to value for insurance purposes. Thanks. OHG

A plain field grade 10A according to last year's Blue Book goes for $300 in 100% (unworn, like new) condition. They were made until 1929.

If it's a high grade 10D it will bring a lot more. Here's a 10D for sale for $1100 in 95% condition.

I ran into the same problem with my Rem Model 29. My insurance agent insisted on a written appraisal, so I would recommend taking it to your local gunsmith and getting one written up.

Thanks...helpful info. Whats the full title of the "blue book" you referred to, JohnBT? Is this a book any old gun owner can access, or do you need to be a gun dealer?

Blue Book of Gun Values By Fjestad

I think it's to the 26th edition now. My last one is the 24th edition. They come out yearly. I believe you can get them from www.midwayusa.com . They usually advertise them when th enew ones come out.
