PA HOUSE BILL 760
Hey PA residents...just a heads up...please pay attention as taking action protects your rights:
THIS IS NOT A LONG READ AS FAR AS THE BILL ITSELF, i WAS ABLE TO GET THROUGHT IT IN A FEW MINUTES.

Here are the links:

House Bill 760: http://www.legis.state.pa.us/CFDOCS...d=0&billBody=H&billTyp=B&billNbr=0760&pn=0881

Petition: http://www.samrohrer.com/?sectionid=73&sectiontree=73&itemid=185

Please condsider signing the petition as I and my wife did.

Just some highlights about bill 760:
-Must renew annually, $10 per firearm
-Requires all your personal info, 2 photographs and fingerprinting
-Info about firearm being registered "The name of the manufacturer, the caliber or gauge, the model, type and serial number of each firearm to be registered."
-denials, may appeal w/in 10 days, if denied or not appealed, you have 3 days to surrender said firearm to state police
-Kiss CCW goodbye, See section 5-Additional Duties of Registrant" point 3

My Questions:
-How many criminals that posess a firearm are going to register their each firearms for $10 every year??
-Do legislators really think illegal firearms are going to be taken off the streets if the legal ones are being registered.
-How many of these same "legislators" are going to also follow this registration legislation as they are not excluded themselves.
-Do these "legislators" think that by either taking possession of our firearms (if denied registration) or making us keep them locked up at home, we law abiding citizens have the opportunity and right to protect ourselves and family??

PA should be glad to have a resident like Hex and I am glad to have him on our side!! I think PA is a strong second ammendment state and 2 things need to happen 1st of course is defeat this measure then the legislators need to be made to understand that you have to be a special kind of stupid to introduce such trash by soundly defeating the moron who introduced this bill at election time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's another article about the issue. I live in PA myself. Plan on going to shopping malls and post offices and getting hundreds of signatures... oh, and calling all those legislators on the bill and telling them they've lost any hope of getting my vote.

It took me about 5 minutes of "foot work" to get all that contact info, if you live in PA, take 5 minutes and use it!

Let's hope we win this battle

Example of what I've written to each of these representatives.... I'll be calling them on Monday

Pennsylvania is a state that highly values its current stance on gun control and second amendment rights. I myself am a new resident, and specifically chose Pennsylvania for it’s stance on gun control. It has been my experience, from living in NJ that most legislators who pass draconic gun control measures don’t even understand what it is they’re passing and are simply being conned into thinking that their bill is going to make the state safer. In reality however, you are treating law abiding citizens as if WE were the criminals. Questions that I and others have about this bill are simple.

Our Questions:
-How many criminals that possess a firearm are going to register each firearm for $10 every year?

-Do legislators really think illegal firearms are going to be taken off the streets if the legal ones are being registered?

-How many of these same legislators are going to also follow this registration as they are not excluded themselves.

-Do these legislators think that by either taking possession of our firearms (if denied registration) or making us keep them locked up at home, we law abiding citizens have the opportunity and right to protect ourselves and family?

As our representatives, you have nothing to gain and everything to lose by supporting this bill. This issue can and will get your seat taken away at the next election, no gun loving American will in their right mind vote for you after this.

I request that you please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

Brian D. Bradley

As I have posted in various threads on this topic....

How about an equal amount of outrage in the, already existing, PA State Police Mandatory Handgun Registry?

All of this effort on a bill that never had a chance to make it out of committee, while we have one of the only standing handgun registries in the country.
