PA Gun Control Bill

I was born and raised in PA so I think I have an informed opinion on this matter.

This bill is so over-the-top it has to be DOA. The main reason it will be DOA is that fact that in includes all firearms. PA has a lot of hunter only types who use their bolt action and/or shotgun once a year. This bill includes all these people. This is a huge voter base we are talking about. I can't even imagine the widespread anger across the state if this thing got passed. As a matter of fact, this bill almost seems designed to fail. Those who introduced the bill gets points from the antis without really having to put up a fight

PA is still a gun friendly state with a very pro gun constitution. This crap that has been seeping....err...flowing in is coming from Philly and everyone knows it. Don't give up on PA, it will continue to be one of the last true pro gun states in the Northeast.

For now.....

IMO, you have New Jersey and New York to blame for this. Seems in the past year there have been a number of murder cases where it was mentioned someone went across the gap to obtain a weapon. With the attention that New York has been paying to gun sales and New Jersey has been paying to gun crimes and ammunition sales, I wouldn't be surprised if the 'tri-state' got together on this one.

+1 for my rep!

I can't believe it. I wrote my PA State House rep, District 118 rep Mike Carroll--Democrat. He actually wrote back to me saying,
I oppose HB 760 and do not believe this bill will ever be voted out of committee.

There is hope. Now to make sure the other reps remember PA is a state full of hunters and firearm members who VOTE!

As for the clowns who are named on this bill for having introduced this nonsense:
Angel Cruz - Democrat, PA District 180, [email protected]
Rosita Youngblood - Democrat, District 198, [email protected]
Cherelle Parker - Democrat, District 200, [email protected]
Jake Wheatley - Democrat, District 19, [email protected]
Lisa Bennington - Democrat, District 21, [email protected]
Lawrence Curry - Democrat, District 154, [email protected]

Based on their counties, these reps seem to be for the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas. Please take the time to remind these representatives :cuss: :fire: that we are a state of hunters and gunowners, and that we will not re-elect anyone who tramples the Bill of Rights.

All concerned PA High Roaders may want to check us out over here, at the PAFOA, we are trying to get as many active PA gun owners together in one place (PA Forum) to keep tabs and remain active on all this stuff.:)

Hope to see you there.:D

house bill 760

Mr White I'm from Pittsburgh and I
just found out about house bill 760.
I don't think it will pass but, I signed
the petition from State Rep Samuel E Rohrer.
The people who own guns will be treated like
crininals being finger printed and having
your picture taken for the police, also
if they find a gun thats not registered
you can be arrested. You also have to give
the police 48 hours notice befor you can
sell any of your guns. I asked why they
were trying to pass this law, They said
you have to register your car every year
so you should also have to register your
guns. I was told "The goal is to find out
how the bad people are getting there guns"
If I have to pay $ 10.00 a year for every
gun I own I will have to sell most of them
or move out of Pennsylvania
