Why is that people bother listing a firearm on an auction site and post the worst possible pictures possible? :banghead: I mean c'mon, I'm not likely to bid on a item when the picture is of a black gun in a black case with direct lighting relecting of the thing.:banghead: You can't even tell there's a gun in some pics. ther times, the backgroud/subjest blend together. If the seller is gonna describe the great details on the gun and then give a lousey picyute and not show what he described:banghead:, I'm not likely to bid. By the looks of it many ohters aren't bidding on them either. :neener: I'll spend more on the same gun that is shown in good pics so that I know and can actually see what I'm buying. :cuss: :cuss:

Sorry had to rant.:banghead:

for some, photography is a means to an end
not a means of artistic expression

The aspects of framing, focus, lighting and quality are lost on some

if you can read past the blur
sometimes there are deals to be had on poorly photographed guns
sometimes the ebay auctions with no pictures go cheap

Many people are very visual. Many like you will ignore the auctions with no or bad pictures. Even the best pictures are only going to tell you so much. Like you've already said, go with the bad pics auctions to get your best deals. What is most important is the description (80% condition, 95%, better) and then look for feedback showing whether or not they are accurate with their descriptions. Go after the bargains by not being a visually motivated person.

Whenever I see real bad pics, I wonder if the seller was trying to hide something.

But the ads that bug me more are the ones where the sellers rip the photos from manufacturers web sites ... might as well not have a picture (especialy if the gun pictured has or lacks features on the gun for sale).
