thompson

Had the M-1 version. Great fun, expensive to feed and very heavy.
Pretty accurate considering the four hundred pound trigger.
Can be tricky to strip, the M-1 has two parts which can be installed in reverse order and continue to function.

Its the M1 model, I just bought 2 30 rd mags for 21 a piece from sportsman guide.

What fun. To bad .45 is so expensive. See if you can find an old Volunteer Arms mark three or five, fake tommy guns, for a few hundred or so you can have the same experience without ragging out your Khar(SP?)or auto-ord or whatever they are nowdays. Pictures?

I shot a full auto Thompson last week for the first time. It was made in 1939 and worked like a charm. I only got to run through two magazines (not drum mag) but it was easy to shoot, accurate, good trigger, minimal recoil ... I'd buy a full auto one if I could.

magazines

You do know that original thompson magazines won't work unless modified don't you?
