I didn't go though the whole thing word for word but it was kind of cool how no matter what your choices were it provided you with "devils advocate" info. If you choose yes it give you a pro gun perspective. If you choose no an anti gun perspective.

All in all kind of a neat poll.

That and we are winning with 90% of the vote.

Chris

heh. They're citing Michael Bellesiles, who has been thoroughly discredited.

Interesting picture of StG44 on the page.... I've just realized that if StG44 was a semi-auto, it is not an "Assault Weapon" per the crime bill, since it only have detachable megazine, and a pistol grip.

Interesting, ...

That's the first AWB poll I've seen that actually does a halfway credible job of presenting both sides of the argument; logic and emotion.

Although your vote has been cast, you may still go through the activity again, select the opposite answers, and see what opposition has to say.
Yeah RIGHT!

I bet they're real happy that no matter how much they try, it's still something like 94% No, it shouldn't be extended!

Went through the "are you sure propaganda" very quickly and kept voting no. Results at the time were 95% no and only 5% yes. But of course it was not a scientific poll!!!!!!!

I just went thru it - still 95% NO 5% YES. Much more objective than I would have ever expected KQED to do.

A very cool poll. Other than a few BS inclusions in the 'arguments' (Be-lie-lles cited; a statement that the 'traditional' meaning of the 2nd amendment applies only to state militias, etc.) it was very well done.

No. "Are you sure? Yea but what if" No. "BUT WHAT IF.." NO. "But.." No.

:banghead:

yes, yes, another AWBan poll

KQED biased AWBan poll

Okay folks, here is a blatantly biased poll being trotted out by KQED, the San Francisco based PBS channel. Have at it and chime in on their discussion forum. Make them bleed (electronically, that is). :D

You have to actually click multiple times, where only the 5th and final vote counts. The other 4, KQED puts forth arguments to try to change your opinion. They even used an article that cited Michael Bellisiles! :scrutiny:

Thanks JG!

What the antis don't want the fence sitters to know is that the so called "gun lobby" is intelligent and active folks from all walks of life and the "anti" lobby is a few well funded bigots.

I like the setup of the poll. The last three panels for the anti side were extremely weak, as usual. :D
