It's a week before deer season and I get to take the Omega and the Zouave out for one more precious confidence building shooting session. (200 yards is, by the way, a long ways for a muzzleloader.) May as well not have gone. Forgot caps for the rifle-musket, and didn't figure it out till the thing was loaded. Oh, well, I can still shoot the Omega. Could not sit still to save my life! Flinching?! I used to shoot a .458 Winchester, and Ithaca slug gun that was brutal, and my dad's .416 Rem. I fired the Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle in the service. I know how to manage felt recoil, don't I? I fliched so bad with the T/C that I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a boat. All I managed to do was use up ALOT of that very expensive 777. Get home from the range. Go to use the CO2 discharger on the .58 and I'm out of CO2. (AAaargh!!!!) Then I take the Omega out of the guncase and the rifle promptly slides off the kitchen counter I had leaned it against and clatters on the floor. (Ohh, my new scope!) Sorry... had to vent a bit.
