Ladies and Gents,

I don't know if this has been covered ad nauseum but today I had seen on the tv an ad for the Buxton Organizer bag. I was thinking, "Gee, that could be something handy to carry a small pistol and other emergency stuff in it ala the BOB and not scream that you're packing." So I read up on said product and by the reviews, it turns out that it may not be suitable for BOB/carrying purposes.

So, what type of bags do you all recommend? I've been looking about for some messenger bags that can perform those duties and not stand out as "tactical." Funny thing is that messenger bags are seen as "metro" and non-threatening and they're common to boot.

I figure it would be a sound idea to have something that blended in as one of the rules of OPSEC is to not have anything that can be picked out as special equipment or out of the norm. I hear many carry fanny packs but that does give it away since it's not something you see much of unless you're a tourist. Thanks!

Kelty sling bag. I stumbled upon one a while back, it is a small bag but would fit any full size pistol. It has 3 compartments. The one designed to carry a pistol is lightly padded on the back and the inside is completely covered with velcro so you can firmly attach your holster.

How about a fanny pack that you secure to your belt via loops on the bag itself (as opposed to the kind that have the waistband that can easily be cut in a crowded area).

Amidextrous - Black - The Gun Caddie

I like this type of design. However the Gun Caddie looks too tactical. It should be available in some subdued colors. It requires a good belt, so is unsuitable for bermuda shorts weather. That's when a traditional fanny pack does not look out of place.

Sewing some environmental badges on the Caddie would help - there are a few on e-Bay. The other well-known disguise is to have a pair of earphones poking out of it.

Of course neither the Caddy or smaller fanny packs have the capacity of the Buxton. The Kelty looks innocent if you want the capacity, but I have never handled one & don't know about the design. It does come in colors. I hope someone comments on it. I think it fits certain circumstances, like a fanny pack.
