I'm on a company laptop this week and am not allowed to download any programs like a ballistic calculator. If someone has one, could they please give me the drop at 200 yds for a .50 cal RB (.490) with a MV of 1700fps and zeroed at 100 yds? Also, what would the point blank zero be? Thanks. (I'm guessing 75 gr of Swiss FFF would yield approx 1700 fps)

Thanks. I did get in and input the data for the RB. Got 27 inch total drop and a -13 inches for actual impact. (drop from POA). Thanks

I'm thinking your velocity is likely a bit slow. I'd think it's closer to 1875.

I've seen that Swiss and Olde Eynsford give similar velocities of Triple 7.

Looking at Hodgdon's site it only gives 2F data. From what I've been told is that you can get similar velocities using 3F as 2 with about 10% less powder. So an 80 grn 2F charge would give similar performance as 72 grns of 3F.

Their 80 grn 2F charge gives 1842 fps with 2F Triple 7.

A .490" RB should have a BC of 0.069. I used a 1/2" sight height and 700 ft elevation, and got different numbers. Zeroed at 100 yds I got a 28.6 inch drop at 200 yds.

I used the Handloads calculator.

Not sure why you want to zero at 100 yds. I always sight my rifles in 2" high at 100 yds. It is much more forgiving at 150 and 200 yds.
