Is anyone familiar with how Ballistol compares with other quality lubricant/cleaners such as Break Free CLP?

Thanks.

Thicker, heavier. I tried it for a while and it seemed to work. I switched to Prolix a while back and haven't had any problems.

I now keep it upstairs as a general household "squeek fixer" since I don't have to worry about it if my small daughter gets her little breadhooks on it or decides to lick a door hinge...

Ballistol oil is mixed with water to create different consentrations. It is vastly inferior in cleaning copper, and serious fouling compared to all modern products. It does work well to clean up Black powder firearms when soaked overnight and does removes the corrosive salts in BP.
