Cleaned up the m&p 9 today with ballistol , does have a smell but did not bother me wife did
make a comment about the smell in garage, its seems to work well and easy to use cleaned up really nice. will see how it holds up as a lube/protector if not I will try some weapon shield want to stay with a non toxic clp

Ballistol

It cleans, It lubes, and it helps little scratches (on your person) I also use it to wipe down guns that were hot blued the day before. if you have a gun with "surface rust" wipe on the Ballistol and wipe off the rest. let it air dry and you're protected. It does work well with wood/leater. the lube factor in Ballistol is mineral oil.
I am also a Ballistol dealer:eek:

Everyone has a favorite.

Please just be aware that any ONE product will not do the best job on all of the following:
Lube, preservative, lead, copper or carbon. I use a different "specialist" product for each of these and know my rifle is clean when the last patch is clean. For example, use Ballustrol or CLP as much as you wish, then use Shooter's Choice Lead Remover and look at the patch.
