base plate on stock 10 round g23 mag

hi all-

i was switching out base plates on a g17 today for +2 ones and decided i wanted to plug one and use it as a pinky extension on a g23 (it's not a pre 94 mag, so i have to plug it to stay legal)

i am having trouble getting the base plate off though. on all the g17 mags they came off relatively easily, but the g23 mag is resisting me something fierce. is there a trick to removing base plates on the mags created in the single stack configuration?


it is a drop free FML 10 round mag if that helps.

well just so everyone knows, +2 base plates can be left un-modified and the magazine remains 10+1. apparently in single stack configs it does not add enough room for more ammo. this was the case with a g23 40sw mag. your results may vary
