Bassett M1A scope mounts

Does anyone have an opinion on the Bassett Machine scope mount for the M-14/M1A? My friend has one on his M1A and is very happy with it. It is easy to mount and has never lost zero.
I am in the market for a Scope for my M1A and I just want to get a good one without breaking the bank.

I did a lot of research and settled on the steel Sadlak mount. Just got my rifle back from Ted Brown and it's a beauty. The Sadlaks aren't cheap but they are rock solid. I think there is an aluminum mount that is less expensive.
