Alright I'm gonna be getting a 9mm ( or .380 ) for carry but I will be shooting it quite a bit.
My options are
Glock 19/26
Sig p238
Sig p232
Walther ppk/pps
Kahr pm9
9mm 1911 (Taurus, colt)
Other suggestions are welcome but please keep em' under 525$

Glock 19 and 26 conceal equally well on most people. So the 19 is the better choice for most. I carry my G23/19 at 5:00-5:30.
Sig p238
Sig p232
I hate sigs with a Passion
Walther ppk:
Trigger is too stiff, too long, otherwise good gun, weird mag release on some Walthers.
Kahr pm9
Great gun, good DAO trigger. May need +p for best reliability. Expensive. Very small and easy to conceal, even OWB.

Other suggestions are welcome but please keep em' under 525$

Don't forget to check out the Kahr PM9's big brother. I think it's the P9. It's just as thin and has a slightly longer barrel and grip, same look and design. It's like a thin Glock 19. Kahr also has all steel versions of thier polymer pistols that have a bit less recoil and slightly better reliability.

Also check out the HK P9 or P7.
The Dan Wesson Guardian is a rare, but great 1911 in 9mm.

Favoring glock 19 ATM, but also considering a 9mm 1911 such as the Taurus or maybe a used colt or kimber

You can't go wrong with a glock 26 or 19. I prefer the 26 myself, but if it's strictly for IWB/OWB carry, I'd get a 19.

I have a glock 19,Kahr pm9,and smith and wesson model 3913.I carry my Kahr pm9 most of the time, small light weight and very dependable.:D

Glock 19.

Easily concealable, reliable, easy to maintain and find parts for, inexpensive, huge aftermarket support, 16 round capacity, and you can do most work yourself with either minor mechanical know-how or the ability to search youtube. Glock 26 or m&p 9c would be my second choice. There are more G19s in the holsters around the world than any of the others you listed, and for many of reasons listed above.

Something different, J&G Sales is offering the Cold War Commemorative CZ 75 with Cyrillic writing and red stars, for under $480, just for grins and giggles. Look at Buds, lots of CZ compacts, PCRs, P-01s, at your budget or under. J&G has the P-07 poly 9mm, with switchable decocker/standard safety for under $450, as well. P-07 is the gun that replaced the Glock for the Phillipene National Police force. ;)

ruger sr9 or sr9 compact
within your price range
slim/slimmer(?) grip than a 1911
good capacity :)

You may want to consider a 9mm that will serve for CC and allow you to shoot in competition such as IDPA.

For example, a few Glock 19 participated in this year's IDPA National, but none of the other guns in your list made an appearance. The overwhelming majority of 9mm at this shoot were (in order) G34, G45, M&P. Of course many choices exist for multi-purpose handguns and the priorities are up to you. The M&P compact covers the bases for CC/IDPA for me.

Kahr CW9 is closer to $400 which leaves you $125 for a holster and ammo. It is a fine weapon. Less machining on the slide, standard barrel rather than polyganol and a few mim parts are the differences from kahr's high end guns. I have put over 600 rounds downrange with no malfunctions. I liked it so much I bought a CW45.

I have a Springfield Armory XD. It shoots well and it`s accurate, there's many options plus a good warranty

If you want a range pistol that could also do duty as a concealed carry pistol, then a G19 Glock or a CZ PCR might fit the bill at your price point. All the other pistols listed can only be had for a lot more $ or used condition. Even used some like a Colt 9mm 1911 will go for a lot more money. Many decent carry pistols make less than desirable range HD pistols, there a re exceptions: Glock G19, CZ 75D PCR, SIG P239. If you do not intend to conceal carry then get a fullsize pistol like a SIG P226, G17 Glock, Beretta 92FS, CZ 75B or a RIA 1911 9mm. All but the SIG can be had new for around your price point.

One more vote for the Springfield XD here. Lots of options, good price, and in my opinion is more fun to shoot than the Glock and most others.

Have you considered the Stoeger Cougar in 9mm. The pistol is reasonably priced and is well made. 9mm means more range time with less cost. While I love my .380s they are expensive to shoot when compared to my 9s.

Even though I own a Glock 19, I think they are way too "blocky" to carry.

You might want to try a S&W, M&P, or a SIG 239.

Oh, I forgot the m&p9c
I'm really liking that one, also the g19, the sig p238 and maybe a different 9mm compact 1911

If it were me?

Glock 19. I don't like the smaller Glocks. I think they messed up in making them as wide as the standard but smaller in lenth and hight. They just don't look right to me and it would seem that to concel them you would want it slimer.

Next up I would go for the 1911. Its sort of a shame to opt for a 9mm but if thats what you want? Thats what you get. I would try to find a Colt. Most likly a Commander model, maybe a light weight one if your going to carry it much. Know up front that your going to pay till it hurts for it. I like the Taurus and it seems that you get a lot of mods all ready done to it for the money. But for some reson I just don't warm up to it. I have one and its a fair shooter and all, it just not a Colt.

Last in the line up would be a Walther PPK. From you list if I had to have a 380acp that would be the one. For me the sig is to big of a pistol for what your shooting. Seems like you could carry the Glock 19 and be about the same size (this might be true of the Walther also I haven't checked). I would pass on the Smith & Wesson version and find an older German made one. Iterarms import or somthing. If you looking for somting that you can carry thats small and light weight in a 380acp? The price has come down on them a bit and there with in a few dollars of the Keltec. I looked at both the Keltec and the Ruger side by side and the Ruger won out for me. It felt better and seemed to be better built then the Keltec. I find that it carrys well and is somthing you can carry and all most forget you have on you.

The above repersents what would work for me or what I think/feel. Its only worth what you paid for it. ; )
