Hey,
Anybody familiar with BBM 9mm cases.
Found a bunch of pick-up range brass and after decapping & washing found one with a crack down the middle of the case. If you put a flashlight behind the crack you can see light through it.
It all looked like it had only been fired only once (never reloaded) to me.
Just wondering if it was a fluke or worse.
Anyone run across this headstamp.
thanks, Bob

Could be these guys
BBM Corporation, 221 Interstate Drive, West Springfield, MA 01089

I'm not familiar with them, but split cases happen, if the rest look good, use them.

FWIW, their ammo is manufactured in South Africa, Bosnia, Germany, Italy, Slovakia and Mexico.

Most be +++P+++ pressure.
The BBM 9mm Ammunition is a military grade bullet that offers flat trajectories, consistent reliability, SUB MOA, and high cycle. The loads feature full metal jackets, reloadable brass cases, are boxer primed, and non-corrosive. They produce velocities of 3190 feet per second.

They probably cheated and used a 10-inch barrel.:neener:

That is the vendor's (F&S) description. On the same page where they say 3190 fps, they also say 1350 fps and call it “9mm Rem ammunition”.

But, even the BBM website is inconsistent. One place they say their 9mm 115gr FMJ does 1145 fps, but their spec sheet for that ammo says 1315 fps from a 4” barrel. And it says the bullet is copper plated.

All in all, not what I would consider to be confidence inspiring. ymmv
