If you can find an old Kel-Tec P-32 with white grips (they pop up now and then), you can actually dye them pink. Someone posted a picture of one on another thread some time ago.
Why does it have to be an auto? Many women find revolvers very attractive, and some prefer the simplicity. My girlfriend "ooh'd" at the Ruger SP101 and S&W Airweight revolvers. She likes shooting autos but really digs shooting .38 revolvers.
Based on looks and low recoil that she will enjoy shooting, the Springfield EMP gets my vote. Running a close second is the S&W 3913 or the Cheifs Special.
The funniest thing about jewelry though, I find all jewelry to be gawdy and uncomfortable, but she likes 90% of jewelry. She can't find a gun she doesn't think looks gawdy, but I like 90% of firearms.
I'm with her -- the pictures that have been posted on this thread so far are ... um, sorry guys, I know you're really trying. But except for post #2 (the bling-Taurus), the guns aren't exactly pretty.
I guess they really don't make many guns for women.
Jim Downing did a Model 36 for me a few years ago. He did excellent work, it wasn't expensive, and the turnaround was pretty quick. If you find the unengraved gun that suits your wife's fancy and want to pretty it up, I reccommend him. Most of the stuff you get from the factory is roll stamped, really lacking in fine detail. The hand engraving shows.
