^^YUP!^^, as it is with so many things, doing a good job is the key. If you can state that it will be done correctly, go for it. It's a job with a bit more consideration then first meets the eye. Its easy to screw up and hard to fix. In my gun smith class this is an art I've been working on. Luckily, my instructor is not only meticulous but a fine teacher. I know I would have made a mess out of this without guidance. Without known performance, you'll never know what change you've made. Last, it won't fix a really bad problem. If the gun is shooting 5" groups don't expect sub MOA with bedding. [Extreme example].
