Glock 19 with night sights in a fanny pack nearby. In the fanny pack is an extra mag, a Surefire M2, and if I need it, I can toss my cel phone in there while checking out the noise in the middle of the night.

Yes, I agree fanny packs are about useless for normal carry, but this works for me since I sleep in boxers and a T-shirt. Holstered gun + boxers = not so fun times. My old nightstand gun was a P226 and I had a shoulder holster for it, but I couldn't stick my flashlight or my phone on it and be hands free. I tend to grab it in the middle of the night when the dogs want to go outside, too. Quick and easy, and everything I need in one area.

HK USP45 /w UTL full mag of corbon HP with one in the chamber, safety on, hammer down, in a Blade Tech kydex paddle holster.

H&K USPc .40 loaded w/ 180g Speer Golt Dots:) It sleeps in its case right next to my bed on the floor. I can roll over and grab it if SHTF. I'm not worried about going into any sort of half-asleep shooting rampage...I'm already the lightest sleeper in the world and can't imagine sleepwalking and going straight to a loaded handgun for no reason. I mean no dream can be THAT bad, can it?

A plastic tumbler full of water.

Accident's happen regularly...I've dumped that thing on the floor 2-3 times over the past 12 months.

S&W model 67 with 2 speed loaders, Ruger p95 with 2 15 rd mags full of Golden Sabres, and a 7.62 Garand in the safe with a block clip of 150 grn ballistic tips ready to load.

Nightstand pistol is a Kahr K40, which is what I would grab if I woke up with a bad guy in the room with me. Next to it is the real nighttime gun--Remington 870 w/extension mag, 18" barrel, No. 4 buck in the mag except for the last three rounds, which are 1 oz slugs. If I have to investigate a nighttime disturbance around my home, this gun is what I take with me.

Stoeger Cougar in its thumbreak holster, which is in the drawer of the nightstand. Not much chance of a semi-sleep mishap.

Ruger P89 w/ Winchester Super-X hollowpoints & S&W Mod 28-2 with Golden Saber JHP. Inside a nightstand keypad entry safe. I've timed myself getting into it, and it takes less than 10 seconds. I have to. I have babies in the house.

A well-proven, 3rd Gen, Glock 21 with Double Tap 185 grain XTP JHPs.

The gun's got:

- Meprolight Sights
- LaserMax
- SureFire X200B

It spends the day in a safe.

My alternate is a similarly equipped, equally well-proven, 3rd Gen, Glock 19 with 33-round magazine.

Beretta 92 on nightstand, Mossberg 500 under bed(if rolled to floor), AR-15 in closet(one more roll away)...if they're still walking by the time I get there, I really deserve to be shot.
