I ain't shot my Beeman QB chief in months and when I try to fill the tank now it just makes a whistling noise from air escaping around where you hook the pump up. I just have a cheap hand pump since I'm new to PCP air guns and didn't want to spend a lot. Heck first air gun I've owned as an adult. Had a red rider when I was 5 and a crossman power master when I was 10 so this PCP stuff is new to me. Any idea what's wrong?

First make sure that the bleed valve at the base of the pump is turned off.

If it still leaking, have someone spray soap and water around the Foster fittings - I assume that's what is on the two ends of the connecting hose.
If the leak is there you may have luck by adding some silicone lube and reconnecting several times to spread it around inside.

Good luck
