Couldn't agree more with Lt. Fuzz! I wish he weren't such a dweeb, but maybe, just maybe, with his attitude, he spends a lot of his time on the range and is MOA dangerous out to 1000 meters.
re the AR platform--note that Pvt. Zero is firing what appears to be an M1A.
And re the artist--note that he has Sarge referring to whole rounds as "bullets". ("He put his bullets in backwards.")
And if you DID manage to put your rounds into the firearm backwards, so that it went !gnaB when fired, wouldn't you also be removing holes from your target, rather than otherwise?
I think that's the first time I've seen a cartoon M-16 in BB. Nicely drawn as well. Usually they have these funky looking Garand things with no visible trigger guard or trigger. Sometimes they have mags sticking out the bottom, sometimes not.
A little off topic but has anyone seen the Doonsberry series where the daughter is being recruited? Army Times printed the whole series in last weeks edition. Rather interesting coming from the liberal side of things.
Is that in the same physical universe that when you wire the headlights backwards in your car, they cast a shadow?
When I saw the strip with Zero's gun going gnab-gnab, I immediately thought of the infamous Smithinski & Wessonovitch pistol. Maybe I can find & post a picture, although I wouldn't be surprised if that one pre-dated the internet.
