Benjamin Franklin 137 parts and rebuild / resurrection

I modified this to cover rebuilding my BFs.

I know it's probably silly but I'm essentially retired so cut me some slack on this.

My wife just drug this orphan home and I've always had a soft spot for Benjamin products.

I'd love to resurrect this but initial searches have left me cold.

Is there anyone stocking parts, new or used for these?

Do you know what it needs besides the plastic grips and a trigger?

So far,it really needs a trigger. Strange how this one is broken. Also, I don't know if this rear sight is supposed to have some type of elevation adjustment in it or not in the rearward hole.

Beyond that I think the rebuild kit which is at the site linked from BROWNINGGUY will cover internals.

I think making some wooden grip panels to compliment the pump handle will look nice.

If this one's worth a damn, I'm making certain to keep it. All the others that I've had have been getting passed on to youngsters because I always thought I'd keep coming across them. They've certainly slowed down in their garage sale/estate sale appearances lately.

Yes, there is supposed to be a flat head adjustable set screw in the rear blade. This is a photo of one I have.

The fluffy thing in the chamber is one of my shoe string tip/pin darts I shoot out of it at a dart board sometimes.

Thanks J

And triple thanks for the pin dart pics and explanation. Those are fascinating.

Mine had enough perma-crud in the hole to display as smooth but cleaning it aggressively after your photo, I see my threads.

I guess I'll have some fun with this and let it morph into a rebuild thread.

I'm going through this one first and then my Benjamin Franklin rifle next.

Build me a yard-safari combo!

So, the start as found:

Broken trigger
Bad seal
Stuck safety
No grips
Floppy pump handle
Missing elevation screw

If you get into this kind of bind with the screw that I have obstructed by the trigger guard, you can avoid this type of damage from a PO by using a flat-head, hex driver insert and turning it with parallel jawed pliers.
