Beretta 84BB

No doubt, I'll give you the considerably lighter. Otherwise the few tenths of inch you are pointing out is insignificant when the two are held in the hands together and compared. Visually they appear practically the same size. I own both and have fondled them together once or twice.

Those few tenths of an inch can mean the difference between being a comfortable CCW, and a PIA.

I, as well, own both. It's funny how some people regard a quarter of an inch as "nothing", while others point it out. Does it matter? Of course it does, to whichever person you're talking to.

The Model 84BB is much heavier, especially when loaded, and just enough larger to require an IWB or OWB holster. I've tried to carry the Model 84BB in a pocket set-up, but it's a losing battle.

Nit picking or not, they aren't the same.

I had one of the original 84's, and the Beretta made Browning BDA 380, both bought brand new (Yikes!), and both were about as perfect as a gun can be. The only problems either one had was due to bad ammo that cause the slide to hang up when trying to close. Recently, I bought an 84BB from Cole's and found a BDA locally, both of them were about $300 each. The 84BB is about 90% and the Browning is about 98%, with the exception of the grips missing the medallions. Not a shock as my old one had them come off a couple of times. I finally used some glue that permanently reattached them. Both of them are practically flawless. IMO, these are the best .380's, period.
