I can't find any bad news about this handgun, so I guess I'll go buy one. Does anyone have any negative experience with this pistol? I figured I'll start a thread and bad experiences will flood in. Let'r rip!

I believe all 92s are 9mms

They are great reliable guns for relatively cheap money. There are alot of police trade ins around for under $400.

They are in 40 cal too. And, he is referring to the 90-Two,. not the 92FS. It is the newer, upgraded version.

I had one and sold it - it works just as well as the 92fs - however, I don't care for the grip, though. I didn't care for the polymer front strap. Too slippery.

To clarify, the 92s are, indeed, 9mm only. The 96s are/were .40SW. And yes, the original post asks for the 90-Two which is 9 and .40.

It is very timely that you would start this thread. I have been shopping for a 9mm for a couple of months now. I own mostly .45's and I cannot keep borrowing my wifes Taurus 24/7 -9mm to target shoot. Besides I want a 9mm of my own. I have it narrowed down to the SW-MP and the Berreta 90-Two. I picked this gun up to hold and check out on Monday and my only comment was-It feels Great! I Love the grip, I Love the balance and the finish was very nice. I have started checking Reviews on the internet and there is not one bad one. The most impressive thing is that the 90-Two is considered as reliable as its predecessor the 92. The only thing in my way is the 5 inch barrel. The barrel length is great for accuracy and Home defense. But I prefer a 4 inch barrel for the car or carry. Hopefully this thread will also help with my decision. I am a huge fan of the SW-MP [I own a .40cal MP] so until I discovered the Berreta. the SW was my first choice.

The Best to All!

I asked about caliber because the reports that I've heard say that the 92-Two is fine in 9mm but the gun really shines in .40 S&W. The comments have been that if you are looking at the gun in 9mm you might as well go with a 92FS (or M9A1 for a rail) as the 92-Two offers nothing more in that caliber other than aesthetics.

I have a 92-Two in .40 but haven't had it to the range yet.

yeah between a 92FS or 90-Two to a P99, I'd rather get the Beretta. Better looks

See, I disagree - the P99 in 2 tone looks awesome to me - Even U gotta admit it looks better than the 90-Two. One could argue about the looks compred to the 92FS - but the trigger on the P99 A/S is much better than the 92.

If you like the looks/feel of the 90-two, but not the barrel length, then consider another one from the Beretta stable - the PX-4 Storm in 9mm - awesome looks . . great feel . . . . very accurate . . 4inch barrel
