While looking at bolt action rifles today, I came upon a 9MM Beretta 9000.
This one is NIB and about $440.00. Good price? I like this fat little 9MM, but I've heard that leather is hard to find. You guys who own one in 9MM--do you like it. If you had it to do over again would you buy another one? Pretty reliable?

Thanks,
KR

I've seen them for about $400 here in Southern California; if I can get them that cheap here you may be able to better in the unoccupied states?

(besides no CF grips for them)

I'm one of the few that actuall like the Beretta 9000, but $440 is too much.

They're not actually selling like hotcakes, and I've seen a dealer price on them at less than $325. Heck, offer 'em $390.

I had the .40 and was pretty happy with it, but traded it for a Steyr S40.

I recall seeing them on closeout here in ABQ for, I'm pretty sure, $380. I was pretty blown away by the price, but not enough to get me past that fat grip. Plus, I'm already set on 9x19s.

Gun sure is pretty, though.

I didn't really intend to get mine, but at $320 new, I couldn't resist. I immediately went over to my favorite holstermakers shop to get leather. He didn't have anything made for the gun, but thought another holster might fit it. Turns out a 239 holster can be worked to fit this gun (it's a tight fit at first but after a short time it's as if the holster was made for this gun. Don Hume makes some holsters for the 9000 and I'm sure most other custom makers do also. You just gotta ask. :D

Got the .40 for $349 about 7 months back.

For $440 you would be getting seriously hosed.

$325 would be a good price.

Prices

Considering you live in the PRC, I don't think that price is so bad, I generally expect to pay about $100 more at a shop in the PRC, than the average price I find on Gunbroker. It looks like $440 is pretty close to that, if $440 is the out the door price, not the price before DROS, HSC, etc.

Ok, so never mind I just went back and looked, you dont live in the PRC, so you can probably get it cheaper than that.
