Any guesses?

I suppose you could say I am doing a bit of a torture test. We're going on several months now of not cleaning it. I have some new 17 round mags for it that I'll be getting for christmas, and I plan to burn through quite a lot of 9mm over my christmas break (in college- hence I shoot 9mm, heh).

Anywho...how many rounds would you guess a Beretta 9000 could handle without any problems? Anyone have a maximum round count for this weapon? Hard to say for mine, I bought it used, for extremely cheap. They were practically giving it away. Great gun too, dirt cheap and never jams unless you feed it that wolf dark steel cased crap.

What say you?

I have no way of knowing.I have a 9000S and it's a fairly beefy little piece of plastic and steel.I don't see any particular reason why you shouldn't be able to shoot tens of thousands of rounds through it with no problem.I would suspect that if you're wondering about how many rounds it will take before whatever might break could not be repaired,I'd say close to indefinitely.

I'm not real sure about the answer to your question, but now that I've read your thread it certainly makes me want one!!!

Especially with 17-rd mags... post pics of this thing with one of those in it.

Are you asking how long without any cleaning/care, etc before failing, or just how long the gun will last? These factors will have impact on results.

Sounds like you are asking how many rounds with no cleaning/lube till she chokes. Mine does not do well when dirty (FTF, FTE), so I make sure to clean it every 100 rounds or so as a rule. But if it's going to be carried, it goes out clean and lubed.

Yeah I guess I should've indicated what I was talking about. Let's say catastrophic parts breakage. I don't plan on cleaning it unless it starts to choke...but like I said, it stands up really well to long sessions, just chokes on wolf for some reason!

Far as carry goes...well, I live in IL, so that's that :(

I'll let you guys know how it goes!

So far we have parts breakage at 30k I believe

Also, I will try to post some pics. It is pretty interesting looking with the 17 rounders w/mag extensions! Actually, proportionally then it SORT of looks like an XD .45...service, not tactical. And far, far smaller...okay, maybe it doesn't really.

I think you're nuts!

You're not cleaning it to see how long it will take for catastrophic parts breakage...well yeah that's one way to speed up your gun's destruction. I'm not going to say don't fire it as much as you want, but I can't imagine why you wouldn't care for it properly in order to extend its life of service to you.

If you take care of it then I would say your trigger finger will fall off first. If you keep abusing it then problems are probably in the very near future.

I own one and I have just under 2000 rounds through it:

the most rounds that I have put through the gun in a single shooting session was 450 rounds and it got cleaned the same night...

don't abuse a good weapon...that's what Glocks are for...haha!!

just kidding about the Glocks...very good guns...my hands don't like the grip angle

Alright, fine...I'll give it a brief wipe down every few hundred or so, happy? I have several good weapons, so if it were to ultimately fail me I would surely shed a tear, but I wouldn't be out of business! *pets his lovely revos*

Anywho...what would you say now, then? How many before it goes? I'm droppigng some greenbacks and getting some more value packs today!
