Beretta APX

I was surprised to read some had a painful pinch from the trigger. To this day I think it's one of the better ones I have, except for my 1911's and new Shield Performance Center. I never had that trouble and have run 300-400 rounds on some range days.

It does get easier over time, Just keep taking it apart. you will either build muscle and make it easier or it will break in and get easier, or both.

I find using the middle finger on my right hand and pushing it in as hard as i can while my left hand turns the take down lever. I dont it enough where I do not struggle.

I'd like to handle an APX; that price for a 'name brand' service pistol is really attractive.

For disassembly (or any handguns, honestly) where you have to push, pull, depress or wiggle parts, I typically use a 'spudger' that an IT friend pointed me at. I actually have an assortment that was something like $10 from Amazon. Spudgers are used for 'cracking open' cell phones and IT components, and are basically plastic pry bars with points, edges and other useful shaped for all sorts of stuff gun-related. They're also cheap enough it's easy to file or sand one to fit a specific use, and keep it in that pistol's case for convenience.

The typo was the question mark at the end. But this isn't English class, so I digress.
There was a question mark at the end. I post from my phone 97% of the time, so I am looking at the keys and to see what is being typed. You are right and I was wrong though. Enjoy your day and happy holidays.

I have full size APX with something between 1000 and 2000 rounds (it flies when you have fun)

Trigger was good from the box, cant say that i remeber some changes like "breaking in". Its duty style whit some takeup to realize you actually pressing the trigger and then solid wall. In comparsion with P10, i like APX trigger more (actually i like all APX more than P10). For some ppl may be problem in fact, that trigger is actually little bit further from back of grip (that part is wider)

I heard complain about disassembly but honestly, i dont get it. Mayabe because i was used to Cz 75... you just dry fire, then press button on one side and push lever on other side. Thats it. It can be stiff at start, but you just clean it around button from inside and its ok.

Recoil spring stays in. If its keep falling off i would suspect factory lube keeps getting in holds while shooting.

I would prefer more sharp/deep grip undercut, but its probably just my preference since most of strike fire guns have same

Factory sights was quite a pain because even with a big amount of effort i was unable to get to use to tham and had to black out front. Over here its quite uncommon so i really dint find out if somebody will change my that sights (and i dont want to pay for tool or "hammer it")

Overall its great gun which will outlast me. Currently im even thinking about getting Beretta "competiton" recoil and trigger springs. Its even my carry weapon. Slide does look big, but its actually just visual. My only regret is that i didnt get "combat" version with threaded barrel and optic sight cut

Btw, there is already topic about APX with 5 pages of posts here
