In my never ending quest for the ideal (for me) home defense handgun  I am considering the DAO Beretta Centurion in 40 S&W. I currently own this gun in 9mm and love the Beretta DAO trigger, ultra smooth like a fine tuned revolver. My question is, has Beretta had any issues with the 40 caliber in terms of kabooms, excessive wear, etc.? I have shot this gun, it belongs to a friend that only put 50 rounds through it and I shot 25 of those rounds, and so it is in virtually new condition. I wouldn't mind having a duplicate copy of my 9mm but in the 40. Any experience or knowledge of troublesome problems would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer not to have internet rumors, if you know what I mean ;) . Thanks

Two friends of mine have the Centurion in 40 and they are very reliable and accurate, keep in mind that, if I recall correctly they are no longer manufatured since 1991, Because of this Beretta Argentina are selling the last one they have in stock for U$S 2,200. Yes, I know, they are crazy... I wolud like to have one.

Regards,
Max.
