It's entirely up to the person putting the money down. And my point was that just because the Hi-Point exists and does almost the same thing for cheaper, it doesn't make the Beretta any less relevant. But again, it comes down to the person.

I'll give you this: I'd take a Hi Point over a CX4 any day ending in Y, but I'd take either over a Sub2K in a heartbeat. Which, is a shame, I like the idea that they take Glock mags, but not that it jams like Michael Jackson in the 80's.

Do they? I've been really interested in those for a while, but refuse to pay what they're going for right now. But that shatters my hopes & dreams to pieces, if they have issues.

Mine did. It was the 9mm Glock model. No matter ammo, or what mag I used (10,17,33 rounder) it was unreliable. Stories are mixed, but that's my experience with them.

The .40 cal version, IME, is the better buy. Owned one, friend owns one, and it had no issues of any sort. Ammo is costlier, but no failures to note. Maybe research the .40 Glock model, that may be your winner.

Overpriced IMO. Many other pistol carbines id buy before this one. Suomi, Sterling or Uzi are readily available.

To me, reliability is the most important thing. My Hi-Point 9mm carbine has never jammed, and I've fed it all kinds of factory ammo and reloads. I can afford the Beretta, but chose the Hi-Point after researching the Beretta and finding too many reports of the Beretta jamming. I also heard that the Beretta has more plastic parts than the Hi-Point. Saving about $500 was just an added bonus.

fired one in 9mm and it was extremely accurate. could almost write my name. I chose a HK ump .45 conversion and haven't looked back. by it and have fun.

It's important to put as many rails on it as you can. Seriously, what's the point of a pistol caliber carbine if you can't fit a scope, maglight, laser pointer, bipod, grenade launcher, bayonet, fork, and jet pack? Go tactical or go home!

I just traded for one in .45 and I really like it - with the exception of the ten round mags.

Any chance somebody is going to start making aftermarket extended round mags for the PX4 anytime soon?

Maybe if they ever make a 92FS in 45ACP . I mainly wonder why no one's either making 3rd party extended mags or cobbed together an extended floor-plate thingy. It's not like there isn't a demand or market for CX4 goodies at this point. Anyone wanna let me borrow their injection moulder?

Seems fairly light to me, but the only thing I've got on it is a small laser. I understand the SierraPapa kits greatly reduces recoil and makes the trigger group much better.

Anybody have experience with ordering from/customer service with SierraPapa?

I've started upgrading my CX4, starting with a Moerse Lekker Industries solid barrel shroud that looks great and is slightly shorter than the Beretta factory shroud.

I still have the small red laser under the barrel on that pull out picatinny rail system under the barrel (how cool is that?) which I plan to replace with a much better green laser system (later).

I added a Tasco Aimpoint on the top rail and it co-witnesses perfectly with the factory sights.

Decided to remove the side rails and the bottom third rail kit to clean up the lines on the gun and I'm not adding any more bells and whistles, so I really don't see a need for them.

The carbine came with two 8 round factory mags and I've bought two 10 round factory mags off of gunbroker.com as well as the Beretta factory cleaning kit.

Mine came with the backpack soft case and everything fits in it perfectly. Now I just need to go to the range and see how she runs. If I'm not satisfied with it's performance, I think I'll go for the whole Sierrapapa upgrade kit from Brownell's.

I had one in 9mm. Good rifle, accurate enough and reliable. I sold it due to the annoying cheekslap I experienced under recoil. I think its due to the large mass of the bolt.

Pretty much mirrors my experience. I held onto it for about 3 years, but found myself shooting it less and less because the little gap between the stock and cheek pad liked to remove facial hair under recoil.

Ultimately, I like my Marlin Camp 9 and Camp 45 a lot better than the Storm or other PCCs. Plus they use S&W 59 series and 1911 mags.

I think it's a pretty fun little carbine! Haven't had any problem with the sights, recoil is pretty light, and I'm finding that follow up shots come pretty easily. Overall the carbine is very controllable. The rifle was very well maintained, and the guy I got it from barely ever used it, hence why he was selling it. It's very comfortable to shoulder and aim, and I haven't really had any problems with the trigger, then again I've also become accustomed to the factory trigger on a Saiga, so take that as you will.

Mine is chambered in .40 and takes 90- series magazines. I've put a couple hundred rounds through it, but so far I'm really liking it a lot! I've used Federal 180gr FMJ, and Fiocchi 165gr JHP and the Cx4 likes both pretty well. With the Federals That thing may as well have been a laser gun at ~75 yards. I also have some S&B 180 FMJ here that I haven't had a chance to try out yet. Love the ability to configure the carbine how I like it, as it already has all the rails, and the guy threw in a couple magazine holders as well as a pretty nice Surefire light and mount. Loving it!
