I just posted a thread the other day about the best first .45 handgun and it went well, however my price range has fallen quite a bit and it is now like $600 as opposed to the $1000 I said earlier due to other expenses and availability of money, so much for the Kimber :banghead:. I was looking around and noticed the new Beretta PX4 Storm this gun looked quite appealing to me. I would get a Glock 21 but the frame is too big for my hand, I also considered Sig but they are defiantly out of my price range. So I saw this and it looked like a smaller frame. Normally I don't care for Beretta, I do not like the 92fs at all, I believe it is unreliable and overrated, however I have heard only good things about the PX4 so far, and I like the Glock type polymer design and the quarter rotating barrel is also interesting. The main use of this weapon would be home defense, and fun at the range, it wouldn't be a carry weapon as I am too young to get a permit or even put the firearm in my name, my dad would get it for me. So what do you guys think of this gun?

I have little experience with them but they definitely are great guns. Berettas in general are high quality (yes even the 92f). You might also consider an M&P45 or a SW99 45 (only holds 9 rounds for some reason though). I won't recommend the XD45 (though it's a good bargain) as I think they are ugly and I don't like them. ;) There is also the Taurus 24/7. Also, just fyi but, you can usually find older used Sig P220's for well under $600. I bought mine for $450, and it was in excellent shape when purchased.
