In a post yesterday, i was asking about the most accurate full size pistols out there. where would a beretta 92fs and sig 226st rank?

I've had several 92F and FS models in past and they are the most reliable pistol I know and are even more reliable than Glocks but they are not known for their accuracy. That is not to say that they are not accurate as they usually have good "service" grade accuracy but not what I would call "match" accuracy.

IMHO you can expect about 4" at 25 yards with typical 92FS pistol. I've seen them shoot a little more accurate than that but never seen one shoot under 3".

My 92FS is at 23,200 rounds with only 5 jams and those were on cheap reloads. It's a gun that you can shoot 2k rounds through and not clean, dirty, dry, what ever, it always fires, with 3-1911 .45's in the safe, it's the gun that always stays loaded by the bed.

Accuraccy, LOL, It holds about 4" at 25yrds on WWB 115gr, NATO M882 will get the group down to about 3". Good enough to kill a man, but not a Target Pistol although some do try and there are modifications for them, I just posted the 'Barrel Bushing like thing' in another thread, in this forum.
