Hey guys. I have a basically new Beretta Xtrema 2 that I am having an issue with. I have put about 400 bird loads through it, a box of turkey loads, and a few steel loads.
So, I was dove hunting yesterday, and the gun was quite warm. I moved I felt the hot barrel, and heard it pop. Then I looked for what made the noise and found that the barrel was slightly moving forward. I push down on the barrel and foregrip, and tighten the end end a bit more. It still moved forward slightly. I then pushed on the foregrip even harder and the movement was lessened, but still there. I would guess the movement now is around .010". very slight.
I watched the beretta troubleshooting video, and my gun checks out good. The foregrip o-ring is there and the end cap is as tight as a can get it. The only thing i can think of is that the grip isnt sitting close enough to the reciever, allowing some play. What are you alls thoughts? I thought about take a slight amount of material of the foregrip, but dont want to screw up a new gun. This almost makes me want to sell it!
