Berretta PX4 Storm compact

Actually the CZ P-07 is a better comparison because they both have 4” barrels.
It may be.

However, this is a PX4c thread, and the OP had commented his G19 was too big, and I linked to an article that compared a G19 to a PX4c, which included pictures comparing them.

My reference also was to noted gun expert (and admittedly a Beretta "homer") Ernest Langdon's take that the PX4c was his DA/SA G19.

Looked at a full size and sub compact today.

The full size felt real nice, it had the DAO trigger and a safety (for some reason) I did not like.

The sub was DA/SA with decocker and seemed fine except the mag had a little boot on it that did not fit my had at all (I need to curl a pinky under) but if it had a flush fitting mag it would have been pretty nice.

Both were used and both had pretty nice triggers. Not enough to entice me to buy, but not bad at all.

Edit: looking over the models it looks like the full size must have been a DA/SA and I just didnt work the slide back far enough to engage the SA. The safety makes somewhat more sense, then.

I'd like to try one of the so called SAO type C options, that one intrigues me.

I'll get one if I see a deal come along. For now I'm making do with my XDE and my G 19. In a pinch I'll use my Walther P22Q. Am very happy to have gotten rid of my XDS.

I appreciate all the responses. The one thing I'm looking for is the hammer and the DA/SA feature. I like my XDE for that and don't like my XDS.I have seen some reviews and wanted a real world opinion.
jonb32248, we seem to share the same interest in no more striker fired pistols. For me it's hammer fired from now on. I also have an XD-E and I've located a used PX4 at my LGS. Trying to sell my LCR .38+P in order to get it. I want to use the PX4 for EDC and although bulkier than the LCR, I'll try to find a shoulder holster with vertical carry for it. The LCR, although one of the easiest revolver to conceal, is easy to tie up with rapid fire and that's why I want to sell it. I've tied it up numerous times with fast shooting and just don't trust it for that reason. Others will say "well you should let the trigger reset" but that's the problem the reset takes too much travel and that's why it ties up. In an emergency you don't want to be thinking, "gees I hope I let that trigger back off enough to reset". Good luck with your PX4!

Riding the trigger reset is for unskilled shooters.

Get off the dang trigger after the shot! Not to the point you have no contact with the trigger shoe, but this idiotic press through and pin the trigger to the rear is going to hold you back. Let the dang trigger reset during recoil so you’re ready to take it up and press through when the sights come back on target.

I see too many reset riders shooting poorly when they try to push the pace up because they get in the habit of shooting as soon as they reset, not as soon as their sights are back.
