I own a Taurus and a Bersa, and believe both too be very reliable handguns.

I'd like to stand up for taurus here but I have had nothing but good luck with the bersa I used to own and nothing but problems with the one taurus I owned.

I vote bersa!

depends on if i want a clone of a beretta or a clone of a walther

i think i would prefer a beretta or a walther

Gotta go with the Bersa. Owned and shot a 383 for over 20 years. Carried it as my "motel gun" flying fires in Cali.

Got a UC .45 two years ago when LEO I was helping out at one motel commented: "Ya NEED a bigger gun, son." He was 20 years younger than me at the time. So, I bought "a bigger gun" and have had a very good time with each of them.

I won't say "cheap" - I'll just say inexpensive.

I've like the Bersa since the first one I held and I bought it. Myself I've never had any problems with it, over 1000 rounds so far.

I have a little Taurus 22 and it works fine. No problems at all. Decided to add a Taurus 25. Looks the same, works the same, except...failure to feed, failure to fire, failure to extract happened constantly. Safety came on frequently while attempting to fire. Magazine typically fell out about every third shot. This was so bad it was like something that had been sabotaged by a practical joker or a prop from a comedy movie...truly unreal. While the grips were off to clean out the heavy factory lube a piece came loose that I couldn't get back in...cost me $70 at a gunsmith.
Sent this disaster back to the factory for a long wait with a carefully detailed description of problems. After about three months it came back with a checklist of what fixing was done. Mentioned some things were fixed but didn't mention others. I never tried it but immediately traded it in on a 22/45 combination EAA Witness that I could get at a very good price with the trade-in. Hope to try it later today.
Taurus autos are a crapshoot and you can lose mightily if you get the wrong one. Admittedly the 22 has been fine and makes a good 22 target practice substitute for my Kel-Tec 380s. Its twin was a nightmare.
If looking for a reliable gun you can count on to save your hide get a Bersa(thrifty and good), Kel-Tec(easiest to hide, thrifty, good with the right ammo) or a Springfield Armory XD(terrific, medium price, reliable.
Taurus autos are not a good risk.

I own a BT380. Don't own a Taurus (yet.) Am hoping to add a Mill Pro or 24/7 next year in either .40 S&W or .45. Will give you a more educated response when that happens.

I got to say that I am not a biggest fan of either … but I have to give my vote to Taurus.

I bought a Bursa .380 … it broke within a week. When it was replaced, the new one broke on the first shooting. I know, I know, that just doesn’t happen. But it did, and besides that, the first one had a couple failures to feed before it broke so … I am not the biggest fan of Bursa. I have never had a Taurus break on me.

Got to go with Bersa
Have owned a BT 380 for several years, very accurate, reliable and is a great
little gun.

I've owned Taurus pistols and revolvers for going on 30 years. Never a problem with them. I have a PT22, no problems, either.

We own two Bersa, one an early Model in .32 ACP that feeds only hot .32 FMJ with any regularity. It's finicky, and bulky. The second is my daughter's Deluxe, in .380 ACP. She loves it, and it will shoot JHP that it likes accurately.

That said, the OP was trying to see what would happen if they expanded their line-up. The only guns mentioned so far were the .380s, as far as Bersa goes.

By the way, does anyone here actually believe that someone would buy seven Taurus handguns, one after another, especially when all seven were terrible?
