Glock 21, H&K USP, FN Tactical. All these .45's perform well, are high capacity, reliable, accurate. The Glock is a tab bit more affordable.

Hi guys, Still making considering .45's and will probably go the range and buy one this weekend. I went to the range yesterday with my 738 and fed it Fiocchi FMJs. It was like a different gun. 100 malfunction-free rounds. I am going to head back and put 100 more through it and possibly carry it with FMJs. I am pleased that I did not melt it down and use for a paperweight.

Good to hear the TCP was reliable with FMJ/RN ammunition.

After the TCP has fired several hundred rounds and had a chance to break in some, you may want to test the JHP ammunition again.

Also, do seriously consider the Ruger SR45.

Smallish hands are precluded, but for hd... CZ 97B. Got one a couple of weeks ago and it is my favorite gun ever. It's definitely a full size pistol, but for comfort, accuracy and reliability... It freakin ROCKS! Mine is a new model with the poly coat and aluminum grips.
