I came here to say exactly this, except the Accu-trigger is AWESOME! 1.5lb, clean breaking trigger out of the box. And this is in a $150 rifle.Accuracy/Reliability Savage MkII
High capasity/semi auto Ruger 10/22
Now if we could just somehow combine the two
The Savage MkII is FANTASTIC except the crappy trigger, the 10/22 is highly versatile but I have heard many mixed reviews on accuracy.
The Mk. II is magazine fed. If you note I read and responded to the OPs request earlier in the thread (where I suggested a 10/22, 795, or possibly a M-60). My most recent response was to refute the claim of poor quality triggers in the Savage Mk. IIs. Furthermore, his OP states that accuracy was second on the list of requirements (after reliability), so it is a potential candidate (certainly worth mention).MCgunner said:I don't think anyone is reading the OP. He wants a tacticooled semi auto, not a bolt gun with a tube magazine.
Mine was a pre-accutrigger model, and yes I agree the accutrigger is great in every way.I came here to say exactly this, except the Accu-trigger is AWESOME! 1.5lb, clean breaking trigger out of the box. And this is in a $150 rifle.
It's just not the best gun for the money in many people's way of thinking.
