Best long range scope for GAP .308 under $1400???

I just picked up a GA Precision .308 bedded in a Accuracy International chassis with a 26" Mike Rock 5R 1:11 twist barrel. This rifle will be used for 600-1000yard use. I do not want to go crazy but my limit is $1400 on the scope. I am pretty sure that i want something higher than 15x power. I think for this rifle something in the 20x to 25x would suffice. I would prefer something with MOA/MOA reticle/knobs to match. I would appreciate all inputs. I really do like the Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 but i think its higher than my limit

You could check out IOR Valada scopes. Their glass is supposed to be really good and they are in that price range. They have 3-18X power.

You could take a look at Shepherd glass. Their 6-18x40 (1 inch tubes) scopes
look like something you might be able to use.

sounds like a great gun!!

no idea what you could get for that price with MOA/MOA. you might convince the leupold custom shop to take one of their vx3 or vx7 and put a MOA reticle in it. (I have had exactly zero luck convincing them to do anything custom (it should really be called the Leupold Accessories Shop, but hey... it's worth a phone call)

not exactly what you're asking for, but might solve the same problem... read the pride fowler forum over on longrangeinternational.com you could probably get one of their scopes and a case of 308 match w/o blowing that budget. also, they're willing to send demo units to individuals, so it's fairly risk-free.
