By the way, I consider it quite sleek and fairly beautiful myself.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for all your replies. I have definitely been looking at the 92FS and the Sigs. I think the 92FS are definitely better value for money but maybe not as sleek as the Sigs.
I would absolutely love a 9mm 1911 but the only full size I know is made by kimber and over $1200. Does anyone else make 'em?
I saw 2 people suggest a Luger. I wish I could afford one! But not for some years.
I'll check out the CZs as well. Never had or fired one. How reliable are they?

my cz 75 has been ultra reliable, only one ftf, but the ammo was to blame, had a solid primer strike. I've put about 1k through it, and haven't cleaned it a ton.

If you would like a full size 9mm 1911, you can get the Taurus PT 1911 chambered in 9mm. I've seen it in the $500-$600 range, though I have never shot it. I'm sure someone on here will have more to say about it.

BHP first, CZ second, 1911 first...Wait, I can't have 2 firsts...Um...Yeah any of those 3. Never have been a fan of the lines of the 92 but if it's your thing go for it.

There are probably more than a few, but I'll stick with the 92FS answers, mainly because it's one that I have. Here's my Italian Inox.

The Taurus 9mm's are not out yet

but they should be shortly. I am thinking of getting one for IDPA. Rock Island makes their Tactical model in 9mm and they can be had for about $450. They have them available in duo-tone and nickle finish. Not a bad way to go IMHO.

Wait, what?

OK, all joking aside, as much as I dislike the Beretta I do think it is a quite attractive weapon.

It's been said, "if you stay in the bar long enough.....all the waitresses look like Miss America".

Some have grown accustomed to seeing ugly for so long they've become use to it....hence the failure to recognize true classic looks.
