"ugliest". If you like please explain what makes it or them appealling or unappealing. Also photos are welcomed. And of course remember

Best looking: Colt Government 1911. Classic 1911 design, no front serrations, no useless funny business

Worst looking: Hi-Point. Bad lines, the trigger is absolutely ugly. Blocky trigger that looks like it has goosebumps. And it simply looks cheap. Look at picture above for reference.

The Stallard/ Haskell abominations have to be right up there with the most foul looking of all bullet launchers Somewhere I saw a Hipoint with a conical flash supressor , that was pretty daggum nasty too .

Best: GM 1911. I love the look of a blued GM 1911 with brushed flats. I also love the look of the Kimber Eclipse, those front serrations on the GM mess it up, if they werent there, it would be a really tough call for me.

Worst: Hi point.

Yeah, I think that's a Welrod, I saw one in some book. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the Welrod a silenced assasain gun made in Britain? Doesn't it have some weird ammunition feed system?

Well i think any blued S&W K-frame can easily qualify as functional art. However as carpettbaggerr has so aptly pointed out MANY of the current PC offerings are in the running for ugliest gun in current production.

the liberator is actually a cool idea. Mass produced out of a few peices of stamped sheet metal, it had universal instructions, is shipped with 4 .45acp rounds, and if you wanted to eject the round you needed a short stick. they could make millions in a month and ship them in mass quantities by air to insurgents that they wanted to support. I'm guessing the idea was to shoot a real soldier and take their gun... Not exactly a prime CCW choice.

Best looking: Beretta 92. Beautiful curves and sculpted features, what industrial artists call "character lines". The choice of movie makers everywhere.

Ugliest: CZ-52. Okay the Liberator is ugly, but at least it has an excuse. Someone put a lot of love into the CZ, and it's still a toad.

My vote for the best-looking handgun goes to the SIG P232. Below is a picture of the SL variant.

The Beretta 92FS Inox comes close. Those Italians sure know how to make 'em pretty.
