slide-glide... the lightweight version in winter, and the normal wieght stuff the other three seasons.

As the one top competitor said, whatever was free in the match goodie bag.

But you have to put it on. Guns don't have sumps, oil pumps, and filters. If you don't put it on the working surfaces, it isn't going to be sent there from someplace else. Lube guns frequently and well, especially the old style metal guns like 1911.

Currently on one range gun : Havoline Fully Synthetic 10w30
Another one has a smidgeon of STOS
Yet another is using Gulf ATF . [ remember them?]
An old Gov't Model is still running fine with TW25B we stuck on it about a year ago...I think we cleaned a year ago...maybe it has been longer...

Basically whatever is handy and I don't have to reach too far for.

Edit: For too many years I have used RIG, and RIG +P . These 1911 and other range guns get used and we just use what is handy. IIRC we lost or gave away the RIG + P and we just keep forgetting to put some back to replace it.

Mobil 1 Synthetic grease.
Its red and you can see it. It stays put in summer and freezing winter.
