I bought some after finding out that fine-smelling product was used by the folks at Rock River on my new AR-15.

Smells almost as good as a sexy woman scantily clad and wearing fine perfume.

there is a cleaning product that is colorless, stainless , comes in a steel blue can , i think it is called gunslick. it is made with cedar, and it works great.

I recently bought an AR15 from Rock River Arms and the wife & I noticed how good it smelled. Steve from RRA at AR15.com said RRA uses G96 CLP on their products.
Where do you get G96?

My first hunting trip at age 11 with my Dad was followed by cleaning the guns with Hoppe's #9.

37 Years later it works just as good and still brings back the smell from that first hunt. Works great as a cover scent too.

I haven't smelled them all, but G96 is among the best, as is original Hoppes No. 9. Anything that smells better than those two I don't know about. YMMV

I also like Hoppe's #9, and Break-Free CLP is okay too.
I have some FP-10 but don't recall what it smells like so it obviously didn't impress me...
I'll keep an eye out for G96.

I clean with M-Pro7 gun cleaner because its non-toxic and has no odor. Nice on the odd chance some gets splashed in your eye.

Hoppe's gun grease has a minty frest smell.
