MIKES JUNK

Uncle Mikes are the biggest POS out there. Ask any LEO or CCW that is serious about protection. Spend the money on a nice gun and carry a $25 holster..come on guys.....Try Safari they are about $45 and much easier feeling, concealing, and lesslikely to accidently GO OFF

K & D 2 in 1 for the P-3AT

Fits in a pocket and provides carry for an extra mag which, IMHO, is a real necessity for a mouse gun.

Right now I carry my P3AT in my front right pocket without one in the chamber. <snip> I'd like to be able to carry it with one in the chamber and not worry about printing as bad as I do now. <snip> What choices do I have as far as carrying?

I really need to find a decent gun in a good caliber to carry elsewhere. <snip>

For pocket carry of the P3AT the DeSantis Nemesis is terrific for its price. Even works well in the front pocket of my (relatively) tight jeans. Not good for rear pocket carry, though - look at the ones with the back flap for that purpose.

I have also bought an IWB for the P3AT from Pale Horse Leather, but my gun is off being adjusted by the factory at the moment so I haven't tried it yet. But it's a tiny little thing, and rides completely below the pants line - not too easy to get to, but completely invisible even if you're only wearing a shirt. Can't wait to try it out when my gun comes back.

I also have a P11. It's pretty small compared to a Glock but HUGE compared to a P3AT. It's quite fat, by comparison, and would not fit in a normal pants pocket for a normal sized man. I have the same model holster for it as I have for the P3AT, and the P3 holster (except for the clip) will easily fit inside the P11 holster.

In the absence of my P3AT, I'm carrying a Makarov in an IWB Fist holster. It is one of their ultra-thin Kydex models made from a thin (about 0.045 inch) but relatively stiff plastic that is molded to the gun. Gives good retention but allows an easy draw, and stays open for reholstering. I'm giving some serious thought to getting one for the P3AT as well, as it is much thinner than the leather holster I have.

The Makarov isn't a 9mm Luger, but there is a Russian 115g hollow point that steps out at about 1000fps, which is only about 150fps slower than Winchester white box in 115g 9mm Luger out of my (longer barrel) Browning Hi Power. And Maks are inexpensive, tremendously reliable guns that I find are a lot of fun to shoot - something I absolutely cannot say about the P11, which starts to hurt my wrist after about 2 magazines. YMMV, of course.

I carry my P-3AT in an Uncle Mike's, that I modified to carry a spare mag. The holster, spare mag and pistol combined are almost exactly the size and shape of my wallet. What could be easier to carry?

If you don't mind having a small pistol on OWB the LCP (and I would guess the P3AT) carries just fine in a OWB holster, like the Don Hume above. However, the best carry is in the hand... just makes some folks nervous, but it's quick to target.

Get real here. I am leo (or was-retired now) and am "serious about protection" and there isn't one darn thing wrong with an Uncle Mikes pocket holster. They hold up well, stay in the pocket on the draw and hides a print. What more do you want? Oh, I forgot. Some folks apparently believe that you just have to spend a lot of money to get a product that works as advertised. Well, I guess sometimes you do-but not in this case. Uncle Mikes makes a great pocket holster at a very reasonable cost.

I carry mine in my right front pocket in a kydex pocket holster I made for it. The horn on the top corner catches on the pocket and keeps the holster in place while the gun is drawn. Works perfectly and only cost me a couple dollars.

Has anyone tried the KelTec Landyard or the Kydex holster that hangs around the neck by a chain?
I was wondering if the landyard had some stretch and if the chain on the holster mod was strong enough to carry the gun.

I just watched a video with some good SD suggestions, one of which is carrying your knife on your weak side. In the event a BG makes your gun and tries to go for it (assuming you are carring OWB / IWB) you can cover your gun with your strong hand and use your weak hand to get out your knife and deflect the attack while preventing the BG from getting ahold of your gun. Made sense to me... just a suggestion since you mentioned you were carrying your gun / knife in same pocket. The Bianchi 100 for KT looks pretty comfortable for IWB carry. I haven't tried one, but it's on the short list when I get to that point (after getting my permit).

My own personal opinion as I found in the past, when you conceal carry the pick of clothing is the first thing considered not the holster. I use a Wrangler Carpenter jean as the key fob pocket is the perfect size for a p3at or lcp. When you move around, sit or stand it is in the same spot. You can draw in the car seat with no problems at all. The wrangler carpenter is the the very best holster for this type of gun I have ever used. But you cannot tuck your shirt in. It also fits a 642 hammer less perfectly.

Im a thin guy, i carry it in this holster IWB at about 5 o'clock. SUPER comfortable, and conceled. Very "accessible."
