So I just got HBO, I guess its free since a poor college student cant afford something like that. Anyways I catch the the Bill Mahr show and they start talking about guns and how that loud mouth dixie chick sayes that terrorists can buy automatic weapons at gun shows and how all guns should be registered.

Anyways I dont even need to tell you what Bill sayes. The guy supposedly representing the Republican party doesnt know gun facts at all and tries to defend gun owners, but with out any facts he doesnt prove his case.

General Wesely Clark is such a sell out, he started talking about how citizens dont need an assault rifle and if you want one you should join the military. THis guy is a real piece of ..... You can see in this interview how he is trying to be as liberal as he can. Well if you have HBO and you dont mind getting pissed off, watch this stupid show. later

heh, I've learned to keep flippin' channels when I see that crap on.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Bill Mahr is a self-proclaimed libertarian, in which case it would make sense that his arguments were principal-based rather than fact based (to say nothing of his effectiveness).

Bill Mahr is left of Lenin, which is ok, in America you have the right to be an idiot. But he masquerades as an "independent", which is an out-and-out lie. His show is an hour long Hate-America festival.

With that harridan Whoopie Goldberg getting a special also, HBO is showing anti-American propaganda that North Korea would blush to put out.

Hah!
I complained to Directv about Mahr and his anti-Bush,anti-America leanings.I asked them why I was paying for basically a pro Kerry, pro Dem. commercial without asking if thats what I wanted.
I told them to cancel HBO! They countered with
6 months FREE Hbo,Showtime :D .
I just didn't watch his crappy show.
I also wrote HBO.Didn't hear a word back.

Yeah, Bill Maher is a libertarian. And I'm a Chinese jet pilot.

Bill Mahr is a left wing hollywood extremest, I've seen him on a few shows and this guy is absolutely clueless! He doesn't have any idea of what is going on in the real world, it is sickening to hear him talk. :barf:

Thanks I always need another reason not to watch television. Everytime I turn on the television leftwing propaganda hurts my head. All I need a television for is my X-Box.

Justin, love the Army of Darkness reference!

The last time I watched anything with Bill Maher was about two months ago. He had the governor of Alaska on his show and started whining about how the Iditerod(spelling?) was cruel and inhumane and as a member of the board of directors for PETA--*click*-- over to the History Channel to watch Gunny Ermey describe the 101st Airborne Division's gear on D-Day for the upteenth time just to cleanse my palate.

Bill Maher is an absolute scumbag who must load his audence up with college students or people with liberal leanings, then plays to them with his rhetoric. Everything he says is calculated to make the audience applaud wildly for him, or his liberal cronies. When he has a real American on giving a point of view, he just makes jokes at their expense, and the schmucks in the audience howl at how clever Bill is. He is to be dispised like Michael Moore, Jeannine Garafolo, Jane Fonda, and all the other anti-American scum that live good lives and renounce the Country that gave it all to them.

Your first mistake was to actually watch that piece of manure. Ratings are what makes the show go. You help keep him on the air by watching.

Everytime I land on that show he cracks me up. He cuts on the dems almost as much as the repugs. One time he said we should let Las Vegas run our homeland security as no one has better security than the casinos. :neener:

They made the same offer to me when I canceled Showtime due to that Streisand ( :barf: ) slime piece on President Reagan. I passed. Principles are more important. Sure, I was disapointed to miss last year's Soprano's, but not enough to sell out.

If he would just be a comedian, which is what he is, thats one thing, but he uses the "bully pulpit" of TV to voice politically influential opinions, and provides token time for opposing views, and ridicules whoever it is. The Fat Dixie chick giving her opinion, and Wesley "Weasel" Clark are no more then self-serving you know whats, that make a mockery of all our intelligence. "Weasel" Clark is just campaigning and listens to no one as he has his own agenda of political power. The Fat Dixie Chick is one of the biggest morons I've ever heard and makes Ashley and Jessica Simpson look like Rhodes Scholars. I'm sure the ever arrogant Bill Maher is having her on the show as much to be laughed at as to give her opinion.

that, or he quickly changes the subject. like the other night, the one panelist said that "if you are so concerned about keeping us safe from terrorists, forget about gun control, the biggest thing that aided the 9/11 terrorists was drivers licenses."
bill immediately changed the subject once he saw his gun control rhetoric really wasnt as important as what the other guy brought up.

He's an idiot. He has no discernable belief system or credo, except for the fact that he is consistently against marriage - big deal. Like he's some kind of rebel or something. His main aim is to be contrarian to whatever has center stage in pop culture or politics. He's got no moral compass. He's not a liberal or a libertarian, he's a libertine as ReadyontheRight said previously. That is an excellent description.

Oh, and he thinks he's real clever too. With his plays on words at the end of his show. The way he laughs at his own jokes and hams it up for the camera makes him un-funny.

Changing or redirecting the subject is a time honored tactic of talk show hosts. I have heard liberals use it the few times I have listened. I have also heard a few local radio conservatives do it a few times when they get out debated. You lose a little respect for them.

I am trying to remember if I have ever watched Bill's show?? Don't think so.
