I didn't need it. But, today is my 61st birthday and I bought a Gen 4 Glock 19 last night to celebrate. I may or may not carry it much as I am partial to revolvers and on days I do carry a semi-auto, I carry my Browning HP.

Been thinking: The November election is iffy, and the 2nd Amendment is definitely in the crosshairs. With all the liberal hoopla over banning magazines that hold more than 10 rounds - I figure its a good time to buy a gun with the mags capable of holding 15 rounds if you want one (personal justification). The night sights definitely make it a great bedside gun.

Now... to the range :)

.
I am a month behind you, my good man, and I agree with your logic but I live in a state with a 10-rd magazine capacity limit. While I must live within those confines, however, I'd still be shooting my 7+1 1911 pistols regardless of where I lived. Please don't hold that against me. :D

That said, I'm about to go pick up my latest piece which is a single-action wheelgun chambered in .41 mag. It's a month early, but a birthday present as well!

Happy Birthday, PRM. Here's to your continued good health.

:)

Happy Birthday, young feller. I like the G19 and it seems to be an ideal carry gun (with a decent holster). Take care. Larry

Congrats on the new gun! Of course, my BHP uses 15 round mags too

I recently got a Glock 26, and my internal justification was that since we are soon having our first baby, I needed my first baby Glock :D

I just bought the same gun for the same reasons, only it was for my 40th birthday.

Happy birthday and enjoy the new toy!

Sounds like an excuse to buy another gun.

Happy B-day and yes, you need to buy all the magazines and ammo you can afford NOW before the coming shortage. This election isn't looking good.

Congrats on the birthday and the new Glock 19! I am looking at the kimber II real hard ,
I am in California so nothing with more than 10 rounds .

A belated Happy B-Day!
Get while the getting is good. Plenty are buying up ammo. Living in CA, we're already accustomed to 10 round mags. :(

After reading your post again , I would pick up a few more magazines .
I am stocking up on powder and primers - but I reload for myself , 6 nephews
and 2 nieces - I told them to buy either a brick of primers or a pound of powder every time they go to range .
I store primers in a little wine cooler [ I cut the cord off ] and found a little bigger one one street [ here they pick up unwanted things twice a year . ] Anyway now the little one fur powder is now for loaded cartridges .
I just ordered another 6 keyed alike master locks - was down to one spare, but everyone is buying another gun before elections .
