True or not, school officials are always on top of keeping kids safe...

School Locked Down After 'ninja' Sighted In Woods
New Jersey School Locked Down After Someone Reports Seeing A 'ninja' In The Woods

(AP) It's the case of the nonexistent ninja. Public schools in Barnegat were locked down briefly after someone reported seeing a ninja running through the woods behind an elementary school.

Turns out the ninja was actually a camp counselor dressed in black karate garb and carrying a plastic sword.

Police tell the Asbury Park Press the man was late to a costume-themed day at a nearby middle school.

The lockdown began shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday and lasted until 9:30.

I also agree with previous posters about the anti-gun nature of a majority of the arts/education majors in college, both professors and students. However, some can surprise you.

"But as a progressive, I would sooner lay my child to rest than succumb to the belief that the use of a gun for self-defense is somehow not in itself a gun crime.":barf:

Just another example of our failed public school system. This moron obviously can't spell - It's PSYCHOPATH, not PROGRESSIVE! Sounds like he failed History too!

Probably 1 of the cowards who would use his own children if available(IF he's sociologically predisposed to procreate, but no - he's probably too progressive, if you know what I mean...) as a human shield to escape such a scenario.:cuss: The rational being that his extensive knowledge of addition and subtraction makes his survival more critical to the betterment of society in general. After all, we can always make more kids, right?:fire:

Pardon the resurrection of the dead thread, but I was just reading some satire, not Doug Van Gorder's mind you, and laughing at all the comments of folks who couldn't identify it as satire, and it reminded me of this ancient thread.

While the outrage at progressive fairy tales is valid and appropriate, I can't stop laughing at folks inability to identify satire and parody when they read it, as is evidenced here.

The guy is making fun of progressive fairy tale philosophy, and rather than outrage at the progressivism, this guy becomes the lightning rod for rage.

It's hilarious.

Thinking here that reviving the thread to revisit Doug Van Gorder's letters may provide some entertainment during these stressful times for true Constitutional Conservatives who get a kick out of mocking the progressive left.

Enjoy.
