bottom barrelled top break revolver

hey all,
im wondering what you guys think of an idea i had.

what about a top break revolver that fired out of the bottom chamber as in the Rhino or Mateba (but top break). I would think that since the stress put on the action would be closer to the hinge it would be stronger than top breaks firing out of the top chamber.
Opinions?

the problem with the design is that it will be MUCH weaker than modern design, and that means only in weaker calibers or huge liability if someone used full bore loads.

So either it's a death trap or sucks only being in 32 etc.

It sounds like a great idea. But consider that the barrel bore is passing right through where the hinge is placed in most top break revolvers. That means the hinge would need to move down to just in front of the trigger guard and below the bore of the barrel. Now technically I can't see any issues with that setup but it would look clunky to those eyes accustomed to more traditional appearances. I refer to the opinions of the new Rhino revolver as an example of how a lot of folks don't like upsetting the "looks" applecart.

Interesting idea, but I agree with BC on whether it might actually sell, and on another point in the design, how would you get the ejection mechanism around the barrel without making it even clunkier? you'd almost have to make it a bottom break, in which case you've nullified any strength advantage of shooting out the bottom of the cylinder...
