boyds forend and a heavy barrel request

I've got a savage rifle with a varmint profile barrel that I want drop into a laminated stock. I like the looks of the boyds prairie hunter but recall reading somewhere that there might not be enough meat on the forend to accommodate the heavy profile barrel. Does anybody have any experience with heavy barrels and boyds stocks? (Pictures would be very nice) Don't really want a thumbhole.....
