I just got my latest email from my buddies over the the Brady campaign. They were notifying me of their fancy new comercial that they are going to start playing. They are trying to raise $100K so they can buy some ads on TV. I don't think $100K is going to get them on any network TV. It will probably get them on in the middle of the night during a Simpsons rerun.

You can buy time during the early breakfast shows in moderate urban areas for a couple hundred dollars per spot. Our class considered it, but couldn't agree on how best to waste viewer's time.

I am not an expert, perhaps we have members in the business who have real answers but...


I am not sure hitting up their website necessarily hurts them. If they can prove to some one who funds them that they get X amount of hits per month or X amount of unique IP's, this might encourage those with the capital to continue funding such anti-American terrorist organizations such as the Brady Campaign. (It is a form of domestic terrorism to undermine and assault the constitution and the rights of the people)


Server bandwidth isn't that expensive (relatively) vs. the size of that organization and the money that gets donated to them. It would probably hurt more to have them mail you printed documents, fliers and other crap. Printing, even at the bulk level, low quality is expensive.


If you can get them to waste money while at the same time doing so in a manner that prevents them from gaining anything is a noble cause.


I suggest spending most of your free time instead prmoting the shooting sports. Nothing does more for our cause than to turn another law abiding citizen into a GUN OWNING law abiding citizen. Remember, when someone actually owns something that is in danger of being banned, they actually care more then.

This kind of thing makes as much sense as lawsuits on tobacco growers for people with lung cancer. How many criminals drove a car to the crime scene, Shall we sue the car manufacturers??? The trouble with our society and these groups in general is that there is no responsibility put on the responsible person. It is always someone elses responsibility. Let's get our legal and judicial system back on track so the violent criminals (guns, knives, bats etc) do hard time like in the old days when they busted rocks, and worked roads....No more cushy cells with 3 squares, recreation, education etc. No parole, no pardon, no deals, plea bargaining etc. Do the crime do HARD time!!! :banghead: mack
