http://www.bradycenter.org/game/

this was posted in another thread. I started playing it.

Let me know if you actually win. So far it seems there is no way to win. You lose no matter what once the gun is on the screen and you pick ANYTHING.

You pick the gun and you're on the news getting arrested
You leave and there was an AD/ND
You do anything and something bad happens.

Let me know if there is any way this game can be won.... or if it's just as biased as the campaign. The underlying message seems to be "Nobody wins when guns are around."

I'm curious to know what you guys have happen.

oh.... I see..... you secretly tell the neighbor about Jamal's gun and everybody has a smile.... you get a token for the video arcade, and all of a sudden Jamal has gone from watching rap music videos to being a top-notch math student.....

gotcha.

So Jamal went from being a kid who was brilliant enough to pull out his father's gun because it looked cool like one in a music video, to being a brilliant mathematician?

wow.... just.... wow.....

So let me get this straight.... Eddie Eagle gets criticized for appealing to kids (teaching safety!).... but the Brady Bunch can make a kids game and be totally unrealistic in doing so?

Lunacy.

The Brady Campaign would have better results if they got rap music videos banned.

I love how, for the "Jamal" thing, it says that "you can remove people from the area around it, to reduce the risk of IT (the gun) from Accidentally Discharging".

Do they not understand that PEOPLE PULL THE TRIGGER, and the gun doesn't "accidentaly" do anything? (unless it's an RG, of course). Of course, the GUN has the "accident", because it's a living entity. What's this? Merriam Webster dares to disagree on what "living" and "entity" mean? Simple! We'll ban dikchunairyz nechts, wytch wyl h31p evry1!

Wow, that last sentance made me want to choke. I hope everyone got the point, so I can forever forget that I wrote that monstrosity.

I remember reading some of their stuff talking about how Eddie Eagle is bad, yet in this game they reinforce the things that Eddie Eagle teaches...surprise surprise.

well I got through the school scenerio with a 100...but appearantly I "played" with Jamal's gun! ***?! I opted to study and do my homework, went outside and BLAMO! Got hit with a 230gr slug of BS!

Damien - those are the kinds of results I was getting too most times.

VARifleman - they have the basic core concept of stop, don't touch, leave the area.. tell an adult.

But it's so deeply wrapped in

"Um... guns are bad.... m'kay? Guns.... they're bad.... M'kay?"

that it got lost in translation!

Apparently though it violates the rules of conduct for an Eagle to spread the message.

Awesome I won! I am supposed to get 0 points right? I mean, that is the objective isn't it, to get 0 points?

if i'd had a few beers before playing this game, i'd have thought i'd died and gone to heaven - guns are everywhere! damn shame it's not the real world.

the brady campaign clearly hasn't heard about "stop snitchin" yet either. gonna get people in e-trouble!

no i couldn't play this long enough to have much to say.

will someone please design a game for THR, or another site, I'll put it on mine.... where you can;

1.) practice reloading your magazines
2.) blast muggers and rapists charging into your home
3.) stop foreign invasions
4.) resist tyranny
5.) teach Brady people marksmanship fundamentals and hear them say, "I got the bullseye!" after so many lessons.

:fire:

BS, they are either actively working for the downfall of democracy and the modern state, setting us up for the next evolution in fascist government, or they are just too stupid to know the difference.

to whoever said "they would have better results if they had rap music videos banned" I think that would be a violation of free speach.

Also as someone who listens to rap, although most mainstream rap is thoughtless, there are good rappers who speak of political views and social issues (Mos Def, Talib Quali, Immortal Technique, Public Enemy etc.). Not saying I agree with all the views of those rappers, but they are intelligently speaking their mind.

Nobody wins when guns are around... :banghead: yip, that pretty much summarizes the message of the Brady Campaign. This game is horrible!

It gave me an idea though, how about they add a THR arcade area to the forum? :D

Skip the stupid game and go to the blog comments. It's great! The Brady Bunch is inundated with pro gun comments and it looks like a pro gun website. So much so that the mods have shut down the comments section.:neener:

Damn, I lost every time!

I mean, it was the same piece as in the video earlier, how could I resist?!

Here is a question for everyone. I don't watch too much TV but all the "music" videos I see usually contain lots of cars, money, women, more women, and stuff like that. When is the last time you saw a gun in a rap video. maybe I just missed it, but if MTV bleeps out the word "gun" why would they show a picture of one?

Just wondering.

I first lowered my IQ 100 points then tried to think like a liberal. Doing so let me ace the test and get my tokens.....

Retarded game, thank you for showing me that so I could waste the last 10 minutes of my life.

This game is clearly broken. It won't let me in the mall because it's locked. We all now that crazy gun owners would simply shot the lock and break in. Why can't I do that in the game?

Wonderful. I ran a scenario where in the end it PLAGIARIZED the Eddie Eagle program! STOP! DON'T TOUCH! LEAVE THE AREA! TELL AN ADULT! Almost WORD for WORD!

Man, I wish there were REALLY that many guns around growing up. I was taught how to respect and safely handle them when I was 6 so there wouldn't be a problem finding them around every corner...

In all my years growing up I only heard of a single "unloved" gun floating around in a high school story. Possibly a street sweeper that might be for sale. Of course when the money was around there was no gun.

Every gun bought by a responsible citizen is one less that would be used for crime. And who knows, the same "law abiding citizen" would probably return the gun to it's owner (or police to find owner) if he found out or could confirm it was stolen after purchase (like how a true gun buy back programs SHOULD operate). At least thats how I think in my little world. :D
